Traineeship Program (Cert III in Individual Support – Ageing) for People Living with a Disability

Purple Orange, in collaboration with five aged care providers and 2 disability employment employers, have launched an innovative model of employment offering traineeships in Certificate 111 in Individual Support (Ageing).

The program provides people living with a disability with the opportunity to build a career in aged care. It also provides aged care providers with an easy entry point to diversify their workforce and add value to their organisation.

Program partners have contributed to the design of the program and will be engaged in supporting ongoing progress.  Partners include ECH (Enabling Confidence at Home), Eldercare, Kalyra, Amber Aged Care and St Anna’s Residential Care Facility, Barkuma, Maxima and EQUALs international.

The program is an initiative of the Road to Employment project managed by Purple Orange and is funded by the Department of Social Services and by the Department of Innovation and Skills.
