The Disability Sector Employment Program is a National Disability Services (NDS) Tasmania initiative.
The Program involved the development and implementation of a screening process which when implemented provided ‘right fit’ jobseekers an opportunity to participate in an Assessment Centre.
This provided jobseekers the opportunity to gain a better understanding of what a role in the disability sector might look like and provided exposure to local employers.
Jobseekers completed activities at the Assessment Centre and employers then offered successful candidates an interview, employment, or work experience opportunities.
