Bridging the Gap Pre-Employment Recruitment Programs in Care Services

The Bridging the Gap Pre Employment Programs are delivered by Gratis Recruitment.  Gratis Recruitment is a South Australian based organisation who specialise in providing recruitment solutions to the Aged Care, Disability Services and Health Care Sectors.

Gratis Recruitment identified that there was a significant gap when it came to skills and knowledge required to work in Aged/Disability Services.  This applied to newly trained and/or experienced workers.

It was identified there were job seekers with the qualification that required additional assistance in relation to their skills, to successfully gain employment in this area.

The Sectors required workers who displayed:

  • empathy
  • advocacy
  • professionalism
  • and a genuine understanding to facilitate the person-centered care approach.

To address these barriers, Gratis Recruitment developed  a series of pre-employment programs called “Bridging the Gap”. 

Each program  was designed specifically for our sectors.  Because of this unique program, due to this unique program Gratis have successfully secured work for over 900 workers nationally.

The organisation believes, through the program, that the new mindset in Aged and Disability care recruitment will ultimately provide new and improved results for the organisations they represent.
