Ageing and Disability Job Ready Pilot Program

The aim of the Ageing and Disability Job Ready Program is provide a pathway to employment for individuals wanting to commence a career in the Aged Care or Disability sectors.  The program combines training and on the job experience leading to the opportunity to connect with and a traineeship, employment and/or further training.

Training
Each job ready program includes a short course that participants complete at a specified TAFE college or with a private training provider. The course is a skill set, which contains nationally accredited units of competency that have been selected to provide individuals with job ready skills and knowledge relevant to the kind of work they’d like to do.

Work placement
Participants will undertake a work placement with an industry employer.

This will give you valuable real life hands on experience to add to what you learn in your training.

Employment options
WA’s leading Aged Care and Disability employers, who are looking for skilled workers, support the program and were involved in development process.

At the end of the program, participants may be offered employment, an apprenticeship or traineeship, be connected with other opportunities or go on to complete further studies.
